Fire is a magical thing that we all drawn to, it has a life of its own – it can burn fiercely or it can be very delicate.

Learn what makes a fire burn, and burn the way you want it to. Join a session to learn and develop the skills of fire.

Work through the stages of a fire starting with a walk to collect the right fuel learning what will work best, to igniting and nursing that first flame, through to the fire build, the use and the last embers.

You’ll get try your hand at lighting a fire using sparks from a fire striker on to tinder and to build your own flame.

Starting and building a fire engages our senses and builds connection to the land.

We will brew a hot drink on our fire so bring a cup and something to put in it!

These sessions are 4 hours long and are currently run at Rockaway Park, Temple Cloud (feel free to join us in the Rockaway Cafe after).
